Each service below can be instructed on its own or as part of a wider portfolio review. Every job is surveyed and signed off personally.
Required by law for the marketing, sale, let or construction of most non-domestic buildings. A full site survey covers construction, glazing, heating, cooling, lighting and hot water systems, modelled through accredited SBEM software — or Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) for more complex assets, such as those with significant shading, atriums or complex building services — to produce your asset rating.
For qualifying public buildings, Display Energy Certificates show the building's operational energy performance based on actual energy consumption, rather than a modelled estimate. CEA can manage the assessment, benchmarking and certification process, providing clear and straightforward support throughout.
Where a rating falls short of MEES minimum standards (or a target set by a lender, buyer or ESG policy), CEA identifies the practical, costed steps to close the gap — ranked by impact and disruption.
Buying, selling or renewing a lease? A pre-transaction check flags rating risk before it becomes a legal or financial problem — particularly relevant under MEES, where an F or G rating can restrict a letting.
For new commercial developments, CEA-LTD produces BRUKL reports and Part L feasibility studies at both design and as-built stages — helping architects, developers and building control confirm compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations before construction starts, and again once it's complete.
Beyond certification, CEA-LTD provides retrofit design services and can act as Retrofit Lead Professional under PAS 2038, managing a non-domestic building's energy retrofit from initial assessment through to evaluated completion.
Most instructions are surveyed within a week of enquiry, with certificates lodged shortly after. Larger portfolios and multi-site instructions are scheduled as a programme of visits — get in touch for a plan tailored to your timeline.
